Our review
Tropico 6 continues the beloved banana republic simulation, offering an engaging and often humorous experience as El Presidente. The core gameplay loop of city-building, resource management, and dictatorial decision-making remains as addictive as ever. New features like the ability to manage archipelagos and steal world wonders add fresh strategic layers. Graphically, the game is pleasant, with colorful environments and detailed buildings, though it doesn't push any boundaries. The 'story' is more a series of era-based objectives and quirky advisors, which provides a lighthearted narrative backdrop. Where Tropico 6 truly shines is in its replayability and sheer amount of content, offering excellent value for money. While not a revolutionary leap for the series, it refines and expands upon its predecessors in enjoyable ways. Some minor technical hiccups and a slight lack of innovation prevent it from reaching higher scores, but it's still a solid and entertaining strategy game.
