Tales of Arise reinvents the long-running JRPG series with stunning Unreal Engine 4 visuals and a refined combat system. The story follows Alphen and Shionne, characters from two linked worlds — one of medieval fantasy and one of advanced technology — as they fight to end centuries of oppression. The Linear Motion Battle System is the most fluid in series history, blending ground and aerial combos with spectacular Boost Attacks and Mystic Artes. Six playable characters each offer distinct combat styles from heavy melee to healing magic. The world spans diverse environments from frozen mountains to volcanic regions, each tied to an elemental lord boss encounter. Skits return with fully animated conversations that deepen character relationships, and cooking provides stat buffs with beautifully rendered dishes.
