Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is Capcom's unique open-world action RPG where players create a custom character and their AI companion (Main Pawn) before venturing into a dark fantasy world. The combat system is uniquely physical — you can grab onto massive monsters, climb their bodies, and strike weak points while they thrash and fly. The Pawn system lets you recruit other players' AI companions online, sharing knowledge about quests and enemy weaknesses. Nine vocations offer distinct combat styles from sword-and-shield fighters to magical archers who rain down homing projectiles. The Dark Arisen expansion adds Bitterblack Isle, a massive post-game dungeon with some of gaming's most challenging boss encounters. Day-night cycles dramatically change the danger level, with terrifying monsters emerging in darkness.
