The definitive looter-shooter with Handsome Jack.
Borderlands 2 perfected the looter-shooter formula with a dramatically improved story centered around one of gaming's most memorable villains: Handsome Jack. Six Vault Hunters (with DLC) traverse the diverse landscapes of Pandora, from frozen tundras to volcanic wastelands, battling Jack's Hyperion corporation. The writing elevated the series with genuinely funny dialogue, emotional character moments, and a villain you love to hate. The loot system expanded to include legendary weapons with unique effects — guns that shoot swords, shields that explode, grenades that home in on enemies. Raid bosses offer endgame challenges for full groups, and the extensive DLC campaigns like Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep are standalone masterpieces. With billions of possible weapon combinations, every play session feels fresh.
